In Lodz, as part of World Youth Day, the community of Chemin Neuf is preparing a festival called “Paradise in the City” for 5,000 young people from all over the world. The Festival will include guided walks around the city, where the young ill be able to learn about the history, culture and spirituality of our country. Among them is s trail of St. Faustina, which is being prepared in cooperation with Fr. Wiesław Potakowski, the prelate of the parish of St. Faustina’s in Lodz and with the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. The trail features four sites: the house at Krośnieńska street, where little Helena Kowalska – the later Sister Faustina – lived with her uncle Rapacki; the Słowacki Park, where she saw tortured Jesus at the ball; the cathedral, where she heard His words telling her to go to Warsaw to enter the convent; and the church of St. Faustina. The trail will be marked with appropriate banners and quotations: “Jesus, I trust in You!”, and “I want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection” in several languages.
