Święci nie zarażają [Saints Are Not Contagious] is the title of the book by Marzena and Marek Florkowski, telling about the last years of the life of St. Faustina, especially focusing on her stay in the hospital in Prądnik. It is a special story, because it is based on hitherto unknown archival materials and richly illustrated with photographs. Of particular value are books concerning the then-ordinator of the hospital in Prądnik, Dr. Adam Zylber, which were discovered by the authors, because – as it turns out – that was his real name, who treated Sister Faustina. The quotation used as the title of the book were his actual words. The introduction to the book was written by Franciszek Cardinal Macharski. He stressed in it, among others, the circumstances of the edition of the book, as this year is the hundredth anniversary of the construction of the chapel in the Prądnik hospital, where St. Faustina prayed for the first time 80 years ago. St. Faustina spent more than eight months in the Prądnik hospital – a 259 days to be precise, as Mrs. and Mr. Florkowski have calculared. She experienced many extraordinary graces and wrote much of Diary there, too. The book is written with passion and enriched by many archive materials. It is a very valuable position in the bibliography of St. Faustina.
