Requirements
Acceptance into the Congregation of the Sisters
of Our Lady of Mercy is open to any candidate
who falls into the category below:
I. | Any unmarried Roman Catholic woman aged between 18 and 35, blessed with the grace of vocation and the desire to preach the merciful love of God in the Church and in the world by witnessing with her life in deed, word and prayer. |
II. | Candidates to the Assembly should be free of the following obstacles, which are mentioned in the Code of Canon Law:

III. | Constitutions and Directory of the Assembly also require: unblemished reputation, healthy devotion and an inner agreement to accept all future place of work and type of work (Article 319 of the Constitution of the Congregation). |
IV. | By joining the Congregation the candidate shall file a declaration in writing that she will not be demanding compensation for work performed while in the religious house (Article 320 of the Constitution of the Congregation). |
V. | The Superior General with the consent of her council decides on the admission of the candidate and on allowing her to various degrees of formation (Article 91 of the Constitution of the Congregation). |
