On May 21, the chapel of Divine Mercy will be consecrated at Mount Butkov in the parish of Ladce, Slovakia. After that, solemn Mass will be celebrated there, chaired by the bishop of the Diocese of Žilina, Tomáš Galis. Celebrations will start with communal prayer at the Hour of Mercy and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which led by the sisters of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy from the convent at the Shrine of Divine Mercy. The site devoted to the worship of Divine Mercy at Mount Butkov (11th floor of a stone quarry), where a large illuminated cross and statues of St. Faustina and St. John Paul II had already been placed, is part of the emerging Rock Shrine of Divine Mercy with a church in Ladce.
