“The Congregation’s apostolate consists first of all in the witness of the consecrated life, which according to the foundresses’ intention is expressed by trust in the mercy of God, by prayer and penance and also by the ministry of deeds of mercy” (Constitutions, Art. 77).

The Congregation carries out its apostolate of mercy in its own homes: in the form of complete care (…) or in the form of open care (Constitutions, Art. 79). In the Houses of the Congregation the sisters take apostolic care of girls and women in need of profound moral renewal, single mothers, children, youth, the sick and disabled, and those wishing to deepen their spiritual life through the formative meetings provided, days of recollection, and retreats. The works of mercy carried out by the Congregation constitute the original and basic form of manifesting, in the Church and in the world, the way in which God’s merciful love reaches out to every human misery, especially the moral one.
